I have a 2008 SRW Ford F350 CC and I want to put the electical plug in the bed of the truck. It looks like it is too big to place it over the wheel well like I have seen in my friends Chevy. I know I can put it in the rear post but would prefer to locate it over the wheel well. Will it fit over the wheel well? Other suggestions?
Thanks for the input.

Mine was in the left rear side of the bed between the wheel well and the tailgate.

You want to be able to reach it without climbing into the bed. Mine is near the tailgate. Wheel well area could tend to have a problem being hit by the tire.

I mounted mine near rear of bed but not in stake pocket. I purposely mounted it higher so if I haul gravel/etc it has less chance of damaging the plug. My last TV it was mounted over the wheel well and with 5er hitched up I had to crawl into the bed to plug/unplug as there was not room to reach in under 5er.

Another vote for the rear post. Wheel well sounds like a bad idea.

Mine is just ahead of the wheel well. I have tool boxes between the wheel well and the tailgate. The cord comes out of the front end of the pin box anyhow.

On one of my trucks it is in front of the wheel well and the other is behind the wheel well. I prefer it in the rear then I don't have to reach over the bed rails. Just drop the tailgate and there it is.
