My wife and I recently purchase her fathers 5th Wheel KZ Toy Hauler.
We love the rv life, but unfortunately he had no manuals for it. We
know it is around a 2005 KZ model, but we have no idea IF we can get
the manuals for it or how we can order parts for it if needed.
Second question any ideas on how we can liquidfy the waste in the black tank? We live in the rv (by choice) and keep the valves open.
Thanks for any input.

The rule of thumb for the black tank is to keep it closed until full. Then dump it all at once. The gray tanks can be left open.

First and biggest mistake. DO NOT LEAVE THE BLACK TANK VALVE OPEN!!!!!!
The black tank valve must be closed except when dumping. Otherwise you end up with all that solid waste stuck to the bottom of the tank like you have found out.
You can leave the gray tank valve open. My suggestion is to fill the black tank with water and leave it sit for a while. If you can see the pile of crud, you might need to use something to physically break the pile up. Day before you plan to dump the black tank, close the gray tank valve)s) and let that tank fill. Then open the black tank and drain. When it is empty, open the gray tank valve to flush the hose out. After you have closed the black tank valve, add 3to5 gallons of water to the black tank along with your chemicals.
As far as year build. Look at the left front corner of the RV.. There will be a tag approx 2X4 with all sorts of information including month and year build and serial number.

Try a gallon of liquid plummer mixed with 10 gallons of water, let sit for a week. Then put about 20 lbs of crushed ice in the tank, drive around for 20 miles or so then hit a dump station and hope for the best. I assume now you know to keep the valve closed......LOL Good luck.

P.S. You might also try ceptic tank starter to try braking down the solids.

You might need to get a tank wand, a flexible hose with jets on the end for breaking loose deposits in the black tank. They are not expensive and invaluable when needed.

Email or call KZ about manuals. But most of the stuff in your trailer is off the shelf stuff and you can get information on all or most of it from the individual manufacturers or most any RV place can help you.

Most RV manuals are generic for that brand. If you desire specific manuals for appliances, awnings, etc., go to this website. There you may download about any manual required for RV stuff.

If your black tank is full of solids from leaving the valve open; first close the valve to prepare for the following: buy a twist-on external flushing fixture like this one.. Put your termination cap on the end, then back-flush with your designated sewer water hose. Close valve when tank is full(TURN OFF WATER HOSE FIRST). Dump normally, this may be required several times with days of soaking in between.
P.S. Some TSP will reduce water's surface tension, making it permeate the solids faster.

I would go on the manufacturers website or go to the nearest dealer and you should be able to get a manual.
