If I'm not mistaking, Good Sam uses GMAC insurance.

That's correct, GMAC is the insurer for the Good Sam policies. They confirm that on their website.

have they actually denied the claim? If they did, they're required to send you notice of the declination as to the reasons why...

Ya gotta know GMAC is in bad financial shape and need a few billion more so standing orders are probably deny deny deny.

I had to fight the GMAC/Sam over an awning that failed (within guidelines of my policy) they rejected it twice before accepting. I am guessing that they hope you accept the rejection

Well, opinions vary I would imagine, although for a first post it does set the tone nicely.

Actually joined in 2005 but, looks like first post.

Must have been saving it up all this time and then let it all out at once.........

I have been a member for quite some time, also. I don't post much, but usually read everyday. So, post count doesn't mean much unless you need your ego inflated!

Two things to do. First, contact your state Attorney General's office and send them a description of your problem and the paperwork you've submitted plus any other correspondence you might have with the insurance company. Send a copy of this letter to the insurance company. Second, contact an attorney and have them write a letter to the insurance company asking for a complete and total resolution of your claim.
