Looking to go to Willamsburg over the kids Easter break and we are interested in the KOA as it is close to attractions. Is the Colonial section different from the Willaimsburg section? Does anyone have a recomendation on a good site for a 36' 5th wheel?

Thanks

We stayed at Willimasburg KOA a number of years ago and found the sites small but OK. IT was obviously designed in a time of shorter RVs. I had no problem but if your rig is longer than 30' it will be tight.
We walked over to Colonial and foundthe site more open.
The biggest comment is that this costs are are generally high.
Under no circumstances would I stay at Anvil unless you are a big rail fan because the tracks from Norfolk are in your backyard. At night the trains run every two hours.
Check our rvparkreviews.com for others comments.

We attempted to stay there a few years back. The site we were assigned and the sites around it were indeed small. Also, they were very muddy. Seemed to have poor drainage. We left there and went to Colonial. Much better. Bigger and dryer sites.

We have stayed at both Colonial KOA and Williamsburg KOA and preferred Colonial over Williamsburg. They are owned by the same people. That being said, we now stay at American Heritage a few miles west of Williamsburg at Toano. We have found this one to be the nicest full service campground in that area. In terms of distance from the center of things, it is only about 5 or 6 miles out and a quick trip down I-64 to the attractions.
