My (dear, departed) father in law had a plaque on his desk that read:

"We too soon get old and too late get wise"

Part of that sentiment is that one never wants to say "woulda coulda shoulda"

Glad you're better sleepy, hope that Janet is soon as well.

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness,
and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts.
Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired
by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.

~ Mark Twain

“Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends.”

Thanks for your comment.

We think about you a lot.... I wonder how you could stand all of those knee operations that you have endured. Janet just wonders how you are. We wish you the best of everything.

...WHY AM I BORING YOU WITH THIS DETAIL? it could be you.

Go take a long look at your RV... your toys...

Ask yourself why you are too busy to use them... most weekends, most holidays, and most vacations... even just a day trip makes memories, cutting your grass or scrubbing your porch won't.

Keep the RV ready, the toys ready... use them often.

Make memories for times like Janet and I are sharing right now!

Every day we talk about the trips we've shared, the people we've met, the good times and the not so good...

Now... Go! Go!, Go!

I couldn't agree more Chet - good luck with your and Janet's recoveries.

Best wishes,

Steve & Sally.

X2...Glad to at least hear you're that your on the long slow road to recovery!

Best Regards,

Everybody needs beauty as well as bread,
places to play in and pray in,
where Nature may heal and cheer and give strength to body and soul alike.

Our (mine and Janets) footnote...

We talked over the John Muir quote... remembering when Wayne (Reddog1) and his wife took us to the John Muir Redwoods near San Francisco. Their gift to us is among the memories that are getting us through these dark days. No one has ever givin us more of themselves. Thank you W and I, you are both very special.

Thanks for the nudge to get out and make more memories. 4 new tires on the Vette recently so I have no excuse.
Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery and sending my best to Janet.

Dang Chet... i wish i lived a little closer, i would be more than happy to stop by and help out you and the little lady with some chores and such, you and Janet's trips have inspired the wife and i to go as much as posible, whether we think we can afford it or not, your boondocking skills have given me a hole new outlook on long distance travel with a skinny budget.

I pray you both get up and going soon.

Sorry to read of your problems sleepy.
Had both of my knee joints replaced in the last six years.
Did not have the problems with either that you relate.
Hang in there things will get better.
Mine feel great now, No pain when walking or standing.
