You may have read my topic on my concerns of buying an enclosed trailer for my 35ft Motorhome. This Trailer is not currently mine but this is the one I would really like to get. The owner has not decided yet if he will sell it or not. If not I have talked to the builder who stated he will build me one for the same price at $10k. Here are the Options. What's your opinion. In this economy does it seem like a good deal?

24' "V" Nose made by Sports Hauler

Dual 6000# Axles with Electric Brakes
16" Rims with "E" Rated Tires
LED Running Lights
2" Added Ground Clearance
Work Bench
Tool Box
Front Cabinets
One Side Cabinet

2 - Outside Halogen Flood Lights
50 Gallon Water Tank with Pump
50 Gallon Aluminum Fuel Tank with Pump
Dual 6-Volt Batteries
Solar Charger
10 D-Ring Tie downs
Drive on Wheel Wells
Diamond Plate Ramp
Painted Floor w/ Rubber Flooring up front
42" Side Door
Etc.

Here are some photo's from start to not quite finished yet. It is supposed to be finished later this week.

Nice high end trailer. I would double check it's empty weight, it looks like it will be quite heavy. Mind you with 12K of axles, it will still have a decent payload. I like Vee nose trailers, I find with mine I get a fair bit more very usable interior space and not that much more overall length. I personally prefer rubber suspension axles, and you might consider getting shocks for the springs to make it ride smoother. Would prefer to have a waterproof wood/plywood/whatever material for the rear door rather than the chip-board (even under the aluminium), I had one like that and water got in and rotted the wood. didn't make all that much difference in my case, the aluminium was 1/8" and strong enough for what I was doing all on it's own, but still....

GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, I don't like the tires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just couldn't stop myself.
Good looking trailer. We have an enormous trailer dealer here in Red Deer. The website follows. You may be able to do some price comparing. Allan Dale pricing is in Canadian $'s. The Red Deer operation is a dealership only, not a manufacturer

Watch the tongue weight. We got one similar to this at work and it has over 2000# tongue weight. Had to have a special Class VII hitch put on the tow vehicle. Good Luck

IIRC I paid about $6,000 for my trailer which was a LOT less trailer than that. sounds like a good buy to me.

Trailer will be very tongue heavy - we used a similar trailer (just as heavy) to haul our race car. Not to nitpick, but Rubber torsion axles are the way to go, you will find your stuff gets beat up a lot less, plus they generally align better and don't scrub tires.

Taped skins is THE way to do that. I like it other than the above.

Interesting, but why would you need something that big dragging behind your motor home? I guess if you are running some kind of business or something. Are you taking that thing with you everywhere you go? You will look like one of those tandem semis motoring down the road.

umm, you have a 5000# hitch and 500# tongue weight hitch right? how much does that thing weigh? even if you're only putting your listed toys in it i think you'll be overloaded...
