I received a offer from GS to sign up for Lifetime membership for only 299.00. Seems like a bargin based on annual renewals of the regular membership. Are there any Lifetime members out there now and was it worth it?

Not sure it would be worth it. I always sign up for 3 years at or below 29.95 (todays rate) that would be at least 30 years worth of sign ups. I don't think i will be rving in my mid 90s.

Can't see joining forever. In this part of the country it is simply not worth it. There are fewer, and fewer Good Sam Parks. None of the CGs we plan on visiting this summer are GS. So my membership is pretty much useless.

The only way to get your money out of this type of situation is if your 50yrs old. If you 70 now, will you be able to get down the road at 80 or 90??? some thing to think about. I think they send these offers out when you reach the age of 68-70, knowing they are money ahead, not you.

I am a life member and so far do not regret it. It worked for me. Just be sure you are going to be actively camping for the next 25 years to be worth the expense. There are a few extra perks that Good Sam gives lifetime members.

I am a life member for many many years. When we got it, it wasn't $299 but a lot less. We have saved what we paid many times over.
