I found a listing for the Real McCoy campground in Statesville NC but cannot find a website for it. Has anyone stayed there before? My husband and I are heading to the Coca Cola race in May and are looking for a campground. Any info would be helpful
thanks

I have stayed at Midway Campground and RV Resort at Statesville. It is OK but sites are not real level and it is built on the side of a hill. Have not stayed at the one you referred to.

We go to Tamarac Lake Marina and Campground every year for the 600. If your only looking for a place to lay your head for the weekend then this is a good place. I think it was $105.00 for the whole weekend. It is a good ol boy campground and has a couple of good ol boy permanent campers that didnt bother us. It's just the guys on the trip so it wasn't to bad. It's by no means a family vacation type campground, but like I said before, It suits the purpose.
