There is a small solar panel that was installed at the factory on my A/C
unit. Is it to charge the engine battery or the house batteries?
I have read both opinions. I was told it kept the engine battery topped off. I know it's waaay to small to charge the house batteries.
Thanks

I 'think" that it is designed to trickle current into your house batteries to keep it maintained. not to charge it.

It is designed to charge your house batteries to offset the draw on them from other parisitic loads, i.e. propane sensor, CO detector. Though you will find many Mh, the CO detector is wired to the engine battery.

I believe mine only works on the coach battery.

Coach battery. You should have a little LED that glows green when it's charging and turns red at night.

Mine only charges my coach battery, so I have the capacity to start when I've been sitting still for days.
