Well, we were towing a Saab convertible on a tow dolly, but last week I had a kid pull in front of me and I T-boned him. Luckily neither of us were hurt but the car was totaled. So, I'm looking at a new toad. I think I would rather tow 4- down so 2 questions. First, I like the 2007 Saturn Vue and wondered what you all thought or any other suggestions. Second, what is the best towin system for the money for this vehicle and what can I expect to spend on tow bar, plate, and braking?

Thanks.

We tow an 07 Vue and I think it makes a fine toad. We use the Ready brake tow bar with the built in aux brake and break away. I would give that equipment a fine reference also.

Ditto on the Jayhawks comments. We tow a HHR with the ReadyBrute also. Best all around set up and least amount of $$ to get there. I do use the BlueOx baseplate because I like the solo vehicle look when uncoupled....Dennis

I had never even heard of the ready brake system.....looks pretty cool and not nearly as much money as I thought I would spend.

I assume a 2007 is the same as my 2005? AWD and V6. I use a blue ox Aventa II bar with lever releases and a brake buddy. blue ox base plate is barely visible under normal driving conditions.

That's what I use with a CRV all wheel drive. Cost about 2500 installed with Brakebuddy,

I tow a 2004 Vue and have never had any problems. I use a Unified Tow Brake system with Blue Ox Towbar and baseplate. Towing Worldis a good place to look for good prices on these items.

I tow a 2006 Vue which I believe was the last year they used Honda engines which I prefer over GM and use a Roadmaster tow bar. Like them both although the tow bar can be hard to release if in a tight bind even when using a lot of silicone as suggested by the manufacturer. If you get a Vue be sure to install a toggle under the dash to disable the electrical system so you don't have to open the hood every time you tow. Pm me if you want some directions as to how to do this.

We just got a 2007 AWD Vue and installed the ReadyBrake Brute. So far, it's been great. Quick set up and take down-literally minutes. Highly recommend.

What about the brake cable loop coming out the front of the vehicle? Is this really noticeable and how hard to install?
