Thats where it all starts...next you will have a rod knock and the drivers window wont roll down...shoulda got a chevy...!!!!!!!!!haha im totally kidding on that one, i have a 97 dually chevy that one night woke me up, the horn was blowing off the chain, and i couldnt get it to stop, so i took out the fuse, it hasnt happened since...i would say go to a dodge dealer and get it checked, i have seen lots of newer vehicles lately with stuck on brake lights, ford dodge and chevy, im sure the problem lies somewhere in that relay...

Don't know if this applies to you, but I looked out one night and saw that the brake lights were on in my truck. After checking a few things I realized it was caused by the brake-controller for my 5er. I just moved the little plunger a couple of times and it corrected itself. The dealer told me on that model (Huskey) year that dust will get in and allow an electrical connection to make the lights come on. The company corrected the problem the following year. You might check that if you have a unit in your rig.
When my cell phone is in the cup-holders of my 06' 3500 and I get a call, the alarm goes off. Sometimes it locks/unlocks the doors w/lights flashing, no alarm. The cup-holders are in the floor console. If the Sprint/Nextel phone is in any other location, this does not happen. I was at the supermarket when it started doing it. I spent 1 hour trying to figure it all out.
I told the dealer about my issue and demonstrated for him. He looked for other people w/same problem in a database and found none. He said it's RFI and not much can be done about it.
The cell phone stays out of the console cup-holders now.
On another note, when I use my base station HAM HF rig, my computer looses it's CMOS settings and my neighbors garage door opens and closes. But this is another story...
We used to have a Ford that ramdomly unlocked then locked the doors. You never knew when you were going to get locked out if you stepped out the get the mail with the car running. Took it to the dealer and they never found the problem. Funny thing that was the last Ford we owned..

2 things come to mind really quick
1 a bad brake switch
2 a faulty Body controll module-I bring that one up beceause I don't really know where the brake lights get their signal from, directly from the brake switch-or from the brake switch then then body controll module ( for cruise controll functions so forth) Land Rovers have a simular problem. A corner lamp stays lit-you can 99% of the time trace it back to the body controll module (@$1.5k)

Before you give someone a piece of your mind, be sure you can do with what you will have left.

My neighbors F350 did the same thing. It was his brake controller causing them to come on and go off on its own.

UPDATE: Heard from the dealership and was told they could not get the issue to replicate. The service guy stated they made an educated guess
(Matter of opinion) and went ahead and replaced the brake light switch. We will see what happens.

My 05 Dodge did same thing. I was checking out the brake switch to see if it was problem and noticed my brake controller harness was routed over brake light switch harness, putting stress on it. When I wiggled both harness's brake lights came on. I re-routed controler harness and so far no brake light flashing.
Of note from above post, I also have a Husky controller, and after re-routing harness I played with slider on controller, so that may have been my fix, Hmmmm!
This was a common problem in Australia a year or two back, I saw it happen on a neighbours truck camped near me. The problem related to faulty Tekonsha brake controllers. My understanding was that the company was replacing them for those who complained.
