My dd is due 11/9 and she says she could just growl sometime. We should find out next week if it's a girl... or boy.

When my daughters and daughters in law started with the attitudes, I politely reminded them of the reason for their condition and my absolute non-responsibility for that condition. It was merely a way of saying "I don't want to hear about it!". Don't coddle'em when they's babies and sure as h..l don't coddle'em when they's mating adults!

Nice. Growling is acceptable, shredding mom/gramma isn't.

So whatcha hopin' for? And btw, congrats to you.

May we all have safe travels.

Leslie - congrats.

My niece had her daughter in December - can it still be the raging hormones or is she just a b@tch? Motherhood has not improved her (unfortunately) moods! My poor sister and her husband!

You can always remind them "That they are paying for their raising". I remind my daughters of that constantly, especially when they are in the B mood.

My wife is and always has been my best friend. We are almost always 100% supportive and we have always been very careful to be sensitive to each other's "insecurities". When she was two months pregnant she had a little fit. I looked at her and said "You better get this out of your system now while you're still hot, because there's no way I will take that from you when you're fat". She looked shocked for about three seconds and then burst out laughing so hard she almost peed her pants.

Sometimes a little humor goes a long way. A word of caution -- make sure that you are out of reach when you attempt it.

Congratulations on the impending arrival of a new grandchild. I figure my boys won't settle down until after I am too old to do much other than read to my grandchildren if I am blessed to be here long enough.

Punch her in the mouth ???
LOL

Tell her according to JAMA it's a medical fact that being grouchy and irritable during pregnancy will cause the baby to be that way for the first years of it's life.
Either calm down and be nice, or give up sleep for the next FIVE YEARS.

Oh, wait, I know,
"DIAMONDS... That'll shut her up." (thanks Ron White)

Leslie:

I certainly am not qualified to tell another woman how to deal with another womans raging hormones.......I can sit around with Stephan and discuss women from a mans point of view if you'd like, I am sure we could come up with some answers that sound reasonable to us
