Why not pull it with a motorcycle and get even better mileage? Obviously, not every RVer is looking for the highest mileage possible when that equates to less RV. The trend has been to bigger and bigger RV's, toyhaulers, motorhomes, campers, etc. You are bucking the trend. Just watch on this forum how many congratulate the new owner of a 450/550 as we are slowly moving away from needing one tons and into the new frontier of medium duty trucks to haul our bigger campers.

$3/gallon.. oh how I miss the states..

The low in the last few months here in Canada was $.83/LITER.. which is roughly $3.30 per gallon...

I was in Gresham, Oregon last week working, and saw diesel for 2.09 a gal!I did a double take. I live in WA. Thought, maybe i should drive down and fill up my truck! J/K! Still 2.45 for unleaded here in good old Puyallup, WA. And about 2.35 for deisel.

To the original poster; have a great trip! Can't wait to see pics!

Great looking rig! I was looking at Teardrops in 2005. They are really neat, some came with all kinds of options, such as TV, A/C & canoe and/or bike racks. I believe many if not all have queen or are they king beds with cabinets and cooking set up in the rear (outside of the unit) pop-up area. I showed them to my wife, she wanted a little more room with a shower, head & frig and stove. We went a little larger with a molded fiberglass Scamp, added a micowave to the list plus a two person dinette on the side so we can leave the larger dinette made into a bed, but sadly not a queen sized one. Teardrops have a wider bed. Better gas milage as well and does not take as large a tow vehicle. It should do a good job for you. Good going. Have fun. Happy travels.

PS: To be fair, I like the shower and the head, etc. just as much as she does. A little luxuary is always good once you get a little older.

My wife's first comment was "and the grizzles will say 'mmm...canned food' as they see it driving down the road"

Have fun!
