We are new full-time RVers and hoped to trade our Class C for a Class A with no success. Soooo, we've decided to try to remodel our 2004 Fleetwood Jamboree to make it more comfortable. Does anyone out there have any ideas or has anyone done this?
Thanks in advance,
Sandy
Perhaps not with that particular model but there have been a number of rigs remodeled and discussed here. Everything from replacing carpet with new hard flooring, new cabinetry for flat screen TVs, adding shelving, changing out the window treatments & bedding, removing present furniture and replacing with more suitable stuff, changing out the light fixtures, painting the walls, removing booth dinettes and putting in free standing table & chairs, replacing blinds to just about anything else you can think of. The idea is to make your rig yours - when you decide what you would like to do and have questions, just ask away. Somebody on here has done that and can help with how to do it! Have fun!
Welcome to the Forum Sandy! As the previous poster mentioned there are a ton of ideas on this forum, take what you need, discard the rest. Click on my signature line on Extreme Makeover RV Style! to get some ideas. And again, welcome to the forum!

We have an '04 Tioga 26Q with no slide. I wish it had access on both sides of the sideways bed. The front TV in the cabinet in the overhead is hard to watch from anywhere but the rear dinette seat. The overhead bunk "mattress" is too firm to sleep on. The overhead area could be made into storage for bulky light weight things and/or entertainment center with large flat screen TV. I love the large rear storage area, essential for full timing. Consider cost of mods for fulltiming vs buying a rig that is already closer to your needs.
This is a modification to the overhead bunk in our 29' class c...it's pretty lightweight, easy to put in and take it (it has 4 L brackets, one on each corner that screw into the bunk platform)...adds storage space and looks nice too. (3 cabinets made to match the wood in the RV...great for storing dishes, papertowels, napkins, coffee perculator, etc)

we picked up a 28 ft class c while we were waiting for our Class A to sell. It had been sitting for 2ys. We ripped out all the carpet and put in vinyl tiles from home depot, took out dinette replaced it with a sofa we found on Craigslist, replaced rv blinds with mini blinds, recovered valances (glued and stapled) with new material from walmart, Took out chair by the door and made a bench/kennel,changed out faucets, Now in the process of taking stripes off to replace with new ones. We have done all of this ourselves and have found many ideas and hints on rv.net. We like the Class C because it is easier to handle Good Luck
