1. found out that my privacy fence gate only allows 1" on either side
to allow my RV to go through and that was with the mirrors in... AND .. my
husband driving...
Sooo got my handy guys to make a bigger gate with bracing $$
2. Found out my RV is heavy and sank several inches in my newer driveway.
Soooo called the local paving place who is coming to widen my drive to allow me to drive straight into the rear yard (was curved driveway) and also at the rear put in a gravel pad for it to park on. $$$
This is my first experience with any sort of trailer or RV...
Wow expensive...
Also realised that the zillion things I bought online over the winter for my RV... that now fill my
basement, will probably not all fit in my RV...LOL

Got it back from the shop yesterday ...
Batteries checked and filled, they measured the hight at 11'9", installed new color rear camera, installed new MAXI Vent covers, and gave it a overall spring checkup. We are ready to go............................

Well... Since I do not have a towed to carry it in I have a "Hitch Hauler" that I carry my wife's mobility scooter on (She uses it in some campgrounds plus she uses it as a "Tractor" to pull a "Trailer" (Little green lawn & Garden trailer) to the laundry and back) .. IT was damaged when I backed into something (Broke the main support) So Monday I took it off, and "Broke it down" (Removed the main support) then removed the 4" drop hitch adapter that I had installed to match my towed, this was custom built to also hold my bicycle carrier.
I got a new 36" main beam (orignal was 28") and Yesterday I drilled it out, mounted the bicycle carrier on it, put the main tray back on it, side it into the receiver and put the Blue-Ox anti-rattle clip on it and got it all re-loaded.. One long day's work.
Eariler (Monday) I also moved the license plate from it's original spot (Which would now be in front of the scooter and thus not visible) up next to the 3rd Eye brake light where it is clearly visible.
Today.. I wash
Next week I rename the rig "Poetic" so I can Wax Poetic. Oh the joy, and 2 weeks from Sunday, Head north again.
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

Installed a porcelain toilet to replace the plastic one in our 30' motorhome. Easy to do and so much nicer than the stained, hard to clean old one. Also added leather dinette, and reclining leather sofa.,plus wood parquay floors. Love the new look to the inside.

Got it out of my buddy's barn and took it to the dealer for a couple of recall items that need to be taken care of prior to our first trip. Been parked since the week before Thanksgiving and it fired off in about 3 revs. Ran sweet and drove great - reminded me why I like this coach so well.

Fired her up so that I could bring the tires back up to even pressures and found that only one out of six was really a bit off after 6 months of use and non-use.Washed her and used soft-scrub on the wheels and that made a big difference.Ran the diesel gennie for about 1/2 hour and ran both a/c's down to 45 degrees and froze out the inside. Man are those things good.
Waiting for the new back-up system cable to come in from RVcams so that I can replace the one the shop pinched when they put the new roof on and replaced the wood on the driver's side wall where it was all water damaged.
That done,we should be almost ready to leave Friday for San Diego for the first major trip of the year.

Not going anywhere with the road restrictions in place. Limit is 5 tons. Plus our road has some soft spots that will take some warm weather to dry out. It was 29°F with a wind this morning.

Yesterday, cleaned the front windshield by driving it up the 101 through the rain in Northern California. Today: More of the same in Oregon on the way to Albany. Why won't the rain clean the rest of the rig? Not going to mention the Jeep.

Received my Cummins Service Manuals and fuel filter today and started reading them. I still need to get the Oil Filter and change the oil. Last Lab Report recommended I change due to High Wear metals. Could be from the few hundred miles it was run with the air compressor suction hose off and sucking unfiltered air. Change this spring and re-sample in the fall. Reading the Manuals answered a lot of questions I had. I will take one to work tomorrow and read when I am on break and lunch. The Fumoto Valve came on Monday along with two new tire pressure gauges. One Cheap Mechanical and my third AcuTire Digital. If this one fails I do not know what I will be able to find that will be digital. I just seem to get them out of warranty and they fail. Last one was the display where some segments of the 10s digit would not work. Hard to tell if it was three or eight or 9 and this sucked. This is Acutire's last chance.
