Tough choice there Tommy. I am a Ford guy though so my leaning would be to the blue oval !!

I'd get the Ford diesel. We have had tons of them over the years and absolutely love them. Especially when the other two companies are going bankrupt. When they go out of business, you won't have a warranty, just like what's happening with the RV builders that are out of business.

I would go with the F-450. Great truck, already set up the way you want.

The F-450 has 11,500 miles even a sun roof (elec.) GPS system all white color. We are wanting to go from motor home to a 36ft. or larger fifth wheel. Sorta like what came first the chicken or the egg?? rvtommy

Of course I would lean toward the 450. Just please understand(and don't come back here whining that your 450 is not getting 16-18mpg) that the 450 is built/marketed for one purpose. Heavy hauling/towing. It will not return the mileage of a 7200lb truck. But.. if you want a great, comfortable, powerful, fantastic build quality, and just the grin factor, buy the 450. Nothing at all against the other brands but the 450 is in a class all by itself.

I agree with the man on almost all of this. They are NICE, you will like it.....except the MPGs as stated. Make sure it has the 4.30 gears and not a 4.88s. That would really suck.
Anyways, I don't agree with the "class all by itself" part....only becuase most folks under use it. You don't even need consider a 450/4500 truck unless you are approaching an 18K fiver. Otherwise the F350/3500 dually trucks are more than enough. The 350/3500s will get better MPGs. Probably close to 3+ MPGs on average. And in todays market, you will get a better deal on a new truck. Unless someone wants to get rid of the 450 super cheap.
