I thought I'd show some pics of our last tent camping trip. Nice pics, plus some good reason for going to a PUP.

Took a bunch of stuff in our SUV to get us there:

Here's me and my SisInLaw, and one of the tents in the background. (Didn't get many of the whole site...)

And all of us:

Our dog Chloe liked it at first:

But then it rained:

Which Chloe didn't like:

Sunday got better. We went to the lake to fish:

My wife was the only one who caught anything:

Now we're looking to make memories with a little more space between us and the ground.

Looks like a nice trip. We camp in a RV but everynow and then we get out in our tent and camp. Its still one of our favorite things to do.

LOL reading the captions above each post, especially the ones with Chloe. We use to go in a tent and carried almost the same amount of "stuff" except we used a truck to haul everything.

That is one mad looking wet Shih-Tzu! Sometimes I'm real glad dogs cannot talk.

Our last camping trip with a tent was about 1960 and don't miss it at all.

Was that camping trip in PA also? My wife is up there right now and said they had gotten some crazy amounts of rain lately.

Camping in the rain in a PUP will be a whole new world! Tent camping in the rain was miserable for us, though we'd try to make the best of it. PUP camping in the rain - not even close!! Nice comfortable place to sit under a roof, lights & other amenities, etc. We had a portapotti on board, so we didn't even have to go hike in the rain to the bathroom if we didn't want to.

You'll love it! Congrats!

It always rains the first weekend in June when we'd go camping. Finally my DH says, "No more tent camping in the rain!" That winter we got our used pop-up. I still tent camp with the kids sometimes. But when we all go, it's with the pop-up. It's wonderful to be off the ground and things dry out quicker.
