Any mix that does NOT use Cuervo (which isn't even tequila, it is tequila-flavored rum)

We use the Limeaid version, also. Very good and easy, and use good rum, it makes a huge difference, especially in the morning. :-)

We always just get the CHI CHIS at the grocery store. It's already mixed with Tequila...then you just have one bottle to deal with...or 3 or 4 depending how long the night is. Cheers

It's that special kinda rum made from fermented Agave!

While Cuervo is not one of the finest tequilas on the planet for sipping or shots, it's perfectly suitable for cocktails, and margaritas.

It would be silly to use a quality tequila to make a margarita.

Make it with rum and it's a daiquiri.

Oh, and Jose Cuervo is Tequila. It's terrible, IMO, but it's tequila.

Jose Cuervo makes three different products. One is a margarita with booze in it, another is a margarita mix only, and the last is tequila alone.

Ok, I know this isn't exactly what you're really looking for, but if you are wanting a bunch o' margaritas and want to watch your caloric intake a bit, here's a great recipe from a wonderful website, Hungrygirl.com:

HG's Magical Low-Calorie Margarita
(Entire recipe: 115 calories, 0g fat, 55mg sodium, 2g carbs, 0g fiber, <0.5g sugars, 0g protein = 2 WW Points)

Ingredients:
3/4 cup Sierra Mist Free (or Diet Sprite Zero, or your other fave no-cal lemon-lime soda)
*1.5 oz. tequila
1 packet (two 5-calorie servings) sugar-free powdered drink mix, lemonade (like the one by Crystal Light)
2 tbsp. lime juice
Optional: lime slice for garnish and salt or no-calorie sweetener for rim of glass

Directions:
If desired, run some lime juice along the rim of the glass and dip into a dish of salt or sweetener. Mix all ingredients together. Pour over 1 cup of crushed ice. Optional: Garnish with lime slice. Enjoy. Serves 1!

*You can also make your margaritas alcohol-free. Each recipe, without tequila, contains around 20 calories!

SIMPLE SIMPLE SIMPLE

1 can (12 oz. ) of frozen limeade concentrate ( do not add water)
1 can of beer
12 oz. of tequila (a little less if you want)
a splash of triple sec

mix in a pitcher with ice until limeade is mixed in.

Enjoy

I buy the premade Jose margarita and like it. I can buy Chi Chi's in Florida but not here and that's good too. Another one I can get there is (I think) Salvador's. That's also good. I brought tequila back duty free from Grand Cayman last winter and for some dumb reason left what was left in Florida - but it's waiting for me
