I have used this forum in the past for some quick answers - hoping to be able to do so again. I have a buddy looking for a deal on a motor home. Found a 2007 Damon 355F Gas rig with 3000 miles. Asking price $65k.
This seems to book at low retail on NADA. Two questions.
1 - What realistic number makes this a "can't pass" deal?
2 - What is general reputation of this unit?
I have looked at motorhomes before but am more familiar with fivers. Any opinions would be appreciated. I know I am asking general questions here.
Thanks,
Bob

Seems to be a fair price for a 2007 model. Most Damon owners like their mh's. I personally would also look at other brands and compare quality such as Tiffin, Winnebago & Newmar.

Definitely keep looking. I'd take CurtisG's recommendation and that is to look at Tiffin, Winnebago, and Newmar.

The Damon is an excellent value. But you don't say what model it is? Daybreak, Challenger or ???
Hard to tell if it's a good deal or not....

If it's a 355 I would venture to guess it's a Challenger. The Daybreaks have 4 digit model numbers for that year. I have had no issues with my 07 Daybreak aside from out of balance tires.
We went with the Damon for the floorplan and the money. If I had more $$ to spend I probably would have gone with the Winnebago/Itasca. The best I could was 12k more than the Damon (at the time). No regrets at all. The other brands mentioned are very fine units, but if you don't have the extra $$ to spend I believe the Damon is a good value for the money.

This Damon 2007 Brochure is of a Challenger and includes Model 355.
Sure you'll find it interesting.
My preference is the Workhorse Chassis - greater GVWR than the Ford and has
a shorter dog house.
