I have searched for any answer here for my water heater problem and can not find the solution.

Some of the time, it works great, but sometimes, mainly when the hot has been recently used, the hot supply just shuts off. It seems that after a period of watiting, it will work once again.

This has just happened in recent weeks and has never been a problem for years with this heater. Sounds like a valve problem?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Steve

Sounds like that is it. There is another thread on this forum (here) where check valves are mentioned and there is a pic on one.
