Have an 08 Knight and one of the cabinet doors has broken. The wooden door is fine. It is the hinges that have broken.

Should I try to get 2 from the Monaco factory or my dealer? I am in Maine and my dealer is in California (DeMartini). Not sure if I can buy directly from the manuf. yet.

Steve,
contact Jeff Marner at All4one in Elkhart and he will send them to you. He sent me 4 so I could replace 2 bad ones and have a couple of spares.

Steve-
This is the same hinge that came on my 04 Holiday Rambler. I searched all over for replacements (I copied SacsTC's information for replacements for the future) and couldn't find any, so I found that a small rivet will work in place of the original pin that sheered off, assuming that is what happened to yours. I just replaced the pins with rivets on four of them. That probably makes a dozen or so that have broken.

Steve

I bought mine from BRD Supply there in Bristol, IN in April. They have a web site on how to contact them. I think I paid around five bucks for a pack ( 2 per pack ). I have already replaced several that have broken so get you some extras.

I have been getting them from DeMartini, and do have a couple of spares. Call DeMartini Monday a.m. and see if they will send them to you (I'm sure they will). If you have any trouble, let me know and I'll overnight one to you.

Actually the design is pretty good Steve, it's the spec for the hardness of the steel in the pin (there probably is no spec) that causes the failure. I'm on my 10th RV and first Monaco, and it's nothig out of the ordinary.

I have contacted my Monaco dealer (DeMartini) and he is sending me 6 hinges. 2 to fix a door and 4 more for additional fixes when needed.
