Mike, to answer your question, it's 7 weeks from today, so 49 days and counting!
I called DB yesterday and the safari area is full. Not sure if anyone from our group has booked sites SF9, SF10 or SF11. If you have made reservations for this weekend and don't see your name listed, please let me know so I can add you to the list of attendees.
Well, Nancy and I returned back to the "scene of the crime" today, delivering a thank you letter, a thank you card and 2 - $25 gift certificates to each of the four locations I was held captive at in Ocean Medical Center, 5 West, Cath Lab, CCU & 5 South.
The Cath Lab was without patients, so Nancy and I had a good time speaking with the staff at the Cath Lab about last Friday's action, looking at the Lab, looking at stents and my videos of the procedure.
Since we RV travel a lot, they decided to give me a CD with the actual procedure on it for other hospitals/ERs to use if we (me) ever have problems on the road.
My paragraph in the letter about the gift certificates was as follows:
"During my walks around the floors I noticed that a meal of choice for you “on the go” people was the pizza, so I’m enclosing a gift certificate/menu for Via Roma III Pizzeria & Trattoria just down the street (not the most heart healthy), and a gift certificate/menu for Fins Tropicali Grill in Kmart Plaza (more heart healthy). They both told me they deliver regularly to the various hospital staffs at Ocean Medical Center."
Nancy and I enjoyed our visit, and I just wanted to say thanks to all the caregivers I came in contact with last week, they really do wonderful and necessary work.
That was really nice of you Gerry. Although I'm sure the staff at the hospital will miss the crazy guy walking through the halls with his gown on backwards. lol!
heard he was walking around the hospital with the gown on backwards, due to all the meds, he thought he was Chinese and was yelling out his name Hanglow Stinkee
