I stopped there once for the heck of it Just a truck stop this article summed it up:

Willie's Place at Carl's Corner
Rate It
Address: On FM 2959 (Exit 374) off I-35E, Waxahachie, TX
Category: Arts/Performance Venues
Location: Waxahachie
Fodor's Review:
Truck drivers have known about Willie's Place at Carl's Corner for awhile, but with the 2008 re-opening of a much expanded Willie's Place—and that would be Willie as in Willie Nelson—the once-little spot on the road about 7 mi north of Hillsboro has gotten much bigger, both in its physical size and in its scope of clientele. The glorified truck stop—the 10-foot-tall frogs atop the gas pumps should help you see it from the road—has a 24/7 restaurant with, "crazy" we know, menu options named after Willie's songs; a 750-seat venue for live concerts; a saloon; a store with Willie gear as well as necessities; the XM Radio booth from which "Willie's Place" broadcasts; and a host of amenities for truck drivers. The truck stop is known for its "green" status as being the first to sell "BioWillie" biodiesel fuel.

Thanks, I saw that review. Looking for how it is doing now that it has been open for awhile.
