Hi all, We are looking at purchasing a Chateau 31 footer with a set of bunks. Can anyone tell me anything about the Chateau? Quality, service, and issues you might have had with the MH? We currently have a Jayco 30 GS. We like it, and have had a few issues, like most others, but we need the bunks and want to trade. The new Jayco with bunks and the Chateau seem to be relatively the same quality, and give or take a few little areas of storage are the same. We know the Jayco and their quality/problems, but we no nothing about Chateau. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We are not immediately going with Jayco because so far...price is much better for Chateau.

I have a 2007 Four Winds 31F but not with the bunks. We've had it for almost 2 years now and have not had any problems. As the previous post states, Thor makes the Chateau and Four Winds RVs. Many of the models are identical. I haven't had to contact Thor for anything yet. When I do it'll be for minor stuff like "where can I get a re-stringing kit for my blinds". It's our first RV and we're very happy with it so far.

Here's a picture of my RV

The Chateau as many have already said is made by the four winds branch of Thor. I have a four winds 5000 that I have had for a couple of years. The chateau is the same except you can get different color upholstery. I would rate the overall construction as average. Probably comparable to your Jayco, neither of which are high end rvs. I have contacted the company on serveral occsions and have always received a timely response by email. I have also contacted them by phone and they were very friendly and helpful. I dont think you will go wrong with the purchase of the Chateau. Mine is also a 2007.

I have owned a 2003 31S Chateau since it was new. We have had a fewy typicla problems, but nothing unusual. I think for the money it is a good unit, definetly not low end. Mine will be for sale soon, as I am upgrading to a Class-A, since we will be empty nesters soon.

I got the 31F, 2007 in the 06 chassis. I'm happy with the quality and the design. Besides minos problems, I only had 1 issues, a blocked furnace hose. Nothing big, got it fixed right away, no problems. Even when it was at the dealer, they identified a few more issues that I could have had done, and Four Winds would have paid for them, but I didn't want to, because they where not warranty items, but small things my kids did.
Design, assembly quality and service it really good. If you have a Jayco, I would say it is just as good. We are very happy.

We have a 2008 Chateau Sport 29R. We have been very happy with ours. We haven't had any problems with it. I think the quality is fine. We have two girls and two dogs and everything seems to be holding up just fine. My only complaint is that the drivers seat isn't as comfortable on longer drives but other than that, I've been happy.
