I would bet they would really love it if your RV were 10 years old or older!

And the home of the braaaaaave {souls who wring their hands thinking about what others do with what is theirs}
We are buying an RV lot in Galax Va, up at 3000 ft in the mountains. Over time we will add a cabin for some extra living space, an outdoor kitchen, gazebo. The idea is to spend summers there and winter (renting) a lot on the space coast in FLA

Come to northeast lower michigan....very flexible zoning. You can still get lots on Lake Huron for a very reasonable price.....about $1700 a foot. The further north you go the cheaper it gets.

XBoater wrote: My brothers and I were just talking about this. We are thinking to buy 5 lots (1 ea.) and construct very small 20x24 concrete single story homes. A bedroom, bath, living room and rent the houses out to a long term tenant. There are some great benefits to this type of house construction. This gets all the facilities on-site for MH to use, and an income to help cover costs. Set-up MH parking away from house for our use when on-site. We had started looking at purchasing RV sites, but those all seem fairly expensive for size of sites compared to house lots and all have condo type fees. Very interesting idea...
X, I have several income properties and there is no way I would want to live on the same property as the tenants . Long term tenants are few and far between, most are good for a couple of years then you're stuck fixing,cleaning and painting .... It's easy money when everyone pays their rent (on time) and you don't get phone calls about things breaking, or they have moved out in the dark of night oweing rent . I don't mean to dash your plans, just go in with your eyes open .

Still in the abstract phase, good points though. Having vacation, residential and commercial in the family we have seen many of the worst tenants possible, but also some of the greatest too. As I like to say, if making money was easy everyone would be doing it...
