I lost my dog tonight in Gilroy CA, Monday the 21st of Sept. Her name is Molly and she escaped from my RV and was seen around The Garlic Farm RV park at the Monterey exit off of Highway 101. She was seen at around 3:30 to 5:30 pm. I've notified animal control and she is chipped but doesn't have her collar. I'm hoping that she jumped into your RV and is safe and sound. She is a tan(white) terrier/chiuhaua mix with tan chiuhaua colors. She is long legged and stands about 14 inches tall. She weighs 16-18 lbs. She has seperation anxiety and might be hard to get to come to you. She got out through the kitchen window which was closed (unlocked?). Please call me at 408-306-5875 if you've seen her or have her. Thanks for any help!

Put an add in the local papers also

Put signs all around...make sure they are LARGE enough to be seen while people are driving by.

Good luck.

Since you have chipped your dog, have you notified the company? We have HomeAgain and they have an alert system. I have received alerts on pets lost in Gilroy and I live in the East Bay.

Also, try Craig’s List. I belong to a Cocker Forum and a California member lost her Cocker and a member in Massachusetts found the dog on Craig’s list. A miracle!

Then try local Veterinarians, Dog groomers and shelters of course.

Best of luck to you and your doggie,
Dawn

Perhaps your local supermarkets will allow a Lost Poster. Everyone goes to the grocery store once a week -- and if you have a big photo of her, it will grab everyone's attention.

Best wishes in your attempt to locate your dog.... I can completely understand how worried you must be!!

One thing you will want to try is to put some recently worn (not laundered) clothing or a used towel outside near the door to your RV, that might help Molly find her way home using her most keen sense of smell. It has worked well for many people. I have used this method with lost dogs & cats with very good results.

Lost animals sometimes don't move around too much during daylight hours, the strange places, noises, and smells make them keep under cover. Now... at night that changes, things become quieter and animals have good night vision so they tend to feel more confident after dark and will move around while it's quieter. So perhaps if you sit in one place and call her name you will get the reaction you seek. Please resist the urge to walk around calling for her because that can confuse a lost pet. Sure it's fine to walk around looking for her in places a scared pet might hide but try not to call her unless you see her.... that way she won't try to follow your voice and become more disoriented.

I hope you find her, please keep us updated... we care!
