Do you have an actual tip-out or is it a slide-out?

If your not staying in the camper I would bring them in. I wouldn't want to give water and ice a chance to enter the coach during the freeze/thaw cycle.

Count me in as one of the one's who put it in for the winter. I know that a lot of folks leave them open up here in Northeastern Ohio, but I prefer the peace of mind that comes from knowing that it is one less potential source of water intrusion over the winter.

Just because there is no REASON to leave them out, it's best to put them in. If there's a good reason for NOT doing it, that's OK too but it will cause slightly more wear on the roof and probably a LOT more on the slide topper if you have one.

Thanks for the answers on leaving Tip Out (Out or In) for the winter. I will be putting Tip Out IN.
