Good shops all the way down to cheep stay from places.
Not on the shelves = not for sale here, go away.
But watch out for there credit co, it is "chase bank" this co will sc*** with you given a chance.
But maybe the "camping world" franchise people read these posts and can clean up the shops?
Please stock the items you post / print as for sale. If not, then Shut down and become a drop ship Internet money collecter.
I know sounds harsh, but at the cost of fuel, and special charges to do a special order
I do not want to do two trips just to spend $20. USD.
.
I did not realize that the CW stores are Franchise Stores, I thought they are Company stores however, overall, I have had very good service and experience from stores in several states.
1-Why should a person have to pay a fee (be it $20.00 or current $12.00) in order to do business with a company?
2-I have seen no prices at Camping World that are lower than at any other store that does not make you jump through the "club" hoops. If you ever see an item that by chance is a little bit lower in price, you will find out very quickly that savings is eaten away by the very high shipping and handling charges.....

You do not have to pay a fee to do business with them. The local CW by me is owned by an RV dealer called Alpin Haus. They do have very good service. Just call, make an appointment and bring it at that time and you don't have to leave it there. I did not even have to unhitch. Walked around the CW store then sat in the waiting room with free coffee, tv, books, videos, etc.
We were in the Hederson, NV. store last week. We both remarked how "bare" the shelves were. I think one thing they did was get rid of stuff they used to have that you can get much cheaper at Wally-World. They appeared to have spread current stock on shelves. Sure wasn't busy. We happened on to a new parts store in Idaho Falls,ID. in September. State Trailer Supply. New building, propane, free dump station. They had more parts in a quarter of the store than CW has in it's total store. Locations also in Pocatello, ID., Salt Lake City area, and getting ready to open a new outlet in Mesa, AZ. They will do well in the Phoenix area.
Thanks for the comments regarding our business. I wanted to take a moment to clarify a few things.
1. All stores are company owned. There are no franchise stores of any kind
2. As you would imagine, inventory management is about making sure that we have the sufficient amount of product in the right store at the right time of year. Often times the amount of inventory we stock will drop during the winter in some markets and go up in others. Most of our stores carry an average of 450,000 dollars of inventory.
3. I continue to read comments regarding our pricing and we daily compare ourselves with others including wall mart and would ask that you do the same. That does not mean that there is not one thing or another that may be off but across our 8000 products we feel we are more than competitive. Additionally, we stand behind the product and support both the customer and the manufacturer. I know some of you believe that the presidents club does not provide you value but I would encourage you to study more closely the additional value in coupons, seminars, offers, savings with our partners and other value added benefits that are above and beyond the discounts. Please also note that on a variety of products the discount is at least 10%.
Thanks for your comments and I look forward to more dialogue.

I would like to comment on the special order responses.
1. We are not going to special order only.
2. San Martin has 534,000 of inventory in the store today
3. We are attempting to add value by offering special order on manufacturer parts. We do not thinks its possible to carry every make, model etc but have had several requests to make them available. In the past Camping World was not authorized to even offer them.
I've been a member of C.W. President's Club for over 12 years. It has been more than satisfactory for most of those years. However, in the past couple of years, it appears that many prices for items have been increased to cover the 10% President's Club discount. Example: regular price at $66.66; Pres. Club price at $59.99. Now, get real, who has a regular price that ends in sixty six cents?

No trouble finding many examples of this: ie: Winegard Carryout- "Regular Price $888.00, Presidents Club Price $799.00". Who do they think they are kidding? Even with "free shipping" this can be purchased for much less elsewhere, without the "Club" junk!
