I am looking for a minivan I can tow. No one makes a new minivan to tow 4 flat. I am looking at a 2010 FWD Toyota Sienna. Since I don't want to go the route of a lube pump I will be towing on a dolly. Anyone have any experience with a Sienna on a tow dolly? I would assume it would be pretty basic since it is FWD. Towing behind a 01 Fleetwood Discovery DP.
I can't comment on the towing issue, but we LOVE our Sienna. Smooth, fast, comfortable, just a great cruiser and really handy for hauling people and stuff. Honda is prob close, but not quite as good as the Toyota.
I towed an '06 Sienna on a MasterTow model 77 (77" between fenders). The tow dolly fender bolts dug into the sides of the running boards. If your van doesn't have running boards I don't think you will have this problem. If you do have running boards you may want to consider a wider dolly like the 80".
We have towed our '05 Honda Ody on a dolly for many miles. It's a tight fit even on the Demco KarKaddy SS-460. Both tires are hard against the sides of the tire "pans" but so far no damage. At full lock the dollys fenders push against the mud guards, but no problems there. I think the Siena is a little narrower than the Ody so it should be fine.
