EagleScout-USA wrote: We covered our this weekend. Can't say that I am overly pleased with the direction I received in ording our ADCO cover from CW. Having no previous cover ordering experience, I followed the suggestions of the CW representative and the direction of the ADCO literature in measuring from the "bowed-out" front end of our Jayco 23-B to the rear bumper. This put me in the very low end of a span of dimensions for a particular size cover. The actual dimensions of my roof would have put me in a lower cover size; however, neither CW nor ADCO could not tell me whether or not the smaller size cover would fit over the "bowed-out" front end. Therefore, it was suggested that I go with the larger size cover (22-24 ft.). Unfortunately, it is much larger than I would like. When looking at pictures of how it ideally fits, I only see about 1 foot of white tyvek material hanging over the front. My white tyvek hangs nearly 4 foot down the front. With that being said, I have found the need to do much rope work to keep it from flapping around. I expect that it will be alright; however, I should have looked for guidance here before ordering - just didn't think it would be an issue!
Mines no different, the white top goes almost to the tongue. I secure around the perimeter with straps daisy chained together to keep it from blowing.

I saw your post and see that you fly RC Airplanes in Jackson. Do you fly combat? I live in Indiana but get down to the Mid-America contest there in Jackson every June. Tim and Alex Treneff put on the event at their home field. It is a great event. We camp on site there. Maybe Lynn and I will see you there.

No combat - just regular old "flying". Since becoming an "unemployment statistic" last January, haven't done much flying. But have been working on the planes lately and planning to get back into it after the first of the year. The club I belong to mostly flies on the weekends, but have hooked up with a club just a few miles further that has some "old guys" (like me)who fly during the week - this leaves weekends open for camping. Good guys and I may change my membership. Still a "statistic", but making a few lifestyle changes still makes it possible to eat on a regular basis, camp and maybe a few days of flying here and there.
The Mid America is held at the club a belong to. Great facilities - hope to see ya.

I keep mine under the lean-to shelter off the side of my shop. Since my Cub also serves as the man cave, it also has a 30 amp hook up so I can pop popcorn in the microwave, run the a/c and watch tv or study. I have the ends out so I can take the Sunday afternoon nap when the "family" comes over. I haven't installed the septic tank yet for full hookup, but I have that in the plans.
dad..-When I was younger, we used to do combat with control line using the Enya .35's and Streaks. Dad flew in Scale CL with a pt-17.
I've heard that our house had a garage when we bought it, but then all DH woodworking equipment moved in and my car moved out. Then came the airplanes. Some of them actually sit on top of the woodworking equipment. Somewhere in there came the ROO and then the ROOport, so my beautiful little car is back under cover. Wish he'd move some of the airplanes and do some more woodworking - he makes gorgeous furniture ....... for everybody else - for the DF, for the DS#2, for the DGSs, 1 piece for our own house & the entertainment center for the ROO. One can wish.
Lots of good replies to your question. My thoughts are a cover is cheaper than being surprised by water damage from a leak you did not know you had. Aside from obvious protection from the elements. My portable car port works well for me giving me both cover and year round access. Good question. Best of luck
