I don't want one.
But, if you do, go for it.

No unless you need to pump out a long distance at home. Almost 40 years of RVing and have only used the stinky slinky w/o any issues/problems.

There used on all RV's, if there is a need for one. If you have to pump out to down load, then no problem.

Sorry, bad terminalogy, they can be used on all RV's with a three inches drain (waste) pipe. Is that more betterest.

Ok firemedic, do you mean a sewer Macerator or sink (garbage disposal kind of thing). Big difference between the two. LOL

I was thinking of installing one on the sewer line. I think I will wait, its hard to justify cost for 4-5 weeks a year.

I have used one for years to pump out at home 80 feet away uphill to my sewer cleanout. We dry camp 10-12 times per year and come home with full tanks. Has paid for itself in time saved and dump fees.

I bought a bare pump and made my own for $125 or so.

If you don't need to pump a long distance, you don't need one.

They are nice if you have a need but you can get by without one for sure. I have a portable macerator I use to pump the waste to a portable tank in the rear of the truck when we do not have a sewage connection. Also use it at home when I did not have time to dump before leaving CG.
