There has been a lot of discussion of this topic in this forum just do a search and you'll see. I already had a bike rack that went into a reciever so I purchased a dual hitch. see link below. I have four bikes and the last one sits close to the propane tanks on the pup. So one mod I haven't done yet is to drill a second hole on the reciever that takes the rack to move it forward a little. If you only have two bikes this shouldn't be a problem. If you don't already have a bike rack you can buy bike racks (Swagman I think makes one) with a reciever built into them.
Note the drawback to the racks mounted to the top of the camper or the prorac system is if your pup is set up and you want to drive somewhere to bike, your rack is now part of your camper.

So tnamrog, the dual hitch won't cause any problems with sway or anything? I hope not because this is the most cost effective thing I have seen yet. I already have the hitch bike rack for two bikes. yeah I hope the bikes won't be too close to my deep cycle battery and the propane tank.
I have the expensive one from Northern, had to drill a new hole in the bike rack since it is designed to clear a truck tail gate down. Works well for my light trialer tongue.

Thanks for posting the Harbor freight link. I actually bought mine from there not Northern.
In terms of sway etc.. never had a problem. There is a little additional "play" because you've added another mechanical connection between the pup and tv but nothing that I've noticed that changed its performance.
