For the price range and weight I think many of the models bldrbuck has listed will be limited (they are nice brands, though!).

I suggest you look at the Crossroads Cruiser/Kingston line. They fall within the weight requirements and depending on model the price range. Also, they are covered by a nice 2+5 year warranty, fantastic customer service and have a very active owner's forum. Visit www.crossroadsrv.com or www.crossroadsrv.com/forum

Everyone that responds is going to recommend the brand they own.
I don't think you'll get a whole lot of quality for under $35k.

My 2008 Challenger is great. No issues in 12k miles. I would buy another one, but then I don't have a great deal of experience with various brands.

If your looking for a "brand new" high quality unit, you won't find it at that price. For 35k, you'll be looking at used. 35k will get a decent brand new mid-level 5er though. We'd need to know more than just "quality 5er" to give you the info you're lookig for. Are you looking at full/part timing, winter camping, mid profile, high profile, how many slides?, etc.....

I'd spend a little less than that and pick up a nice late model used unit.

I dunno, a lot of Crossroads, Heartlands, Jaycos can be had for under 35K out the door. I would consider my unit to be of good quality compared to some 200-300K junk I've seen in friends motorhomes. Comparing $$$ spent to quality in the RV world is, well, humorous.

But hey that's just me!

I wouldn't hesitate to buy another used 5er and you can get mid-upper quality for 35K. I could shove my 5er off a cliff and not be out of as much money as what all my new 5ers depreciated in 3 yrs. Craig
