Hi Folks, Can anyone tell me if I have a set of tire bombs on my trailer? They are Duro radial DS2100, ST225/75R15, load range D and are stamped "made in Tiawan" The trailer GVWR is 12,192 lbs. Thanks

How old are the tires? Go to this site and find out how to tell:

Are there any visible cracks or are they worn?

I have read some good posts about the radials and many bad posts about the bias ply. My bias lasted 3.5 years and maybe 7000 miles before all were separating in the tread and one let go.

No personal experience, but you could do a SEARCH on Duro. I'll bet you get hours of reading.

That is not much tire for a trailer of that weight! Chris

Our friends have a 3 slide Laredo with ST 225 X 15 Duros. He has yet to have a tire problem in 2 years. So far so good.
