We camped for 3 days and 2 nights. It rained the whole time, a light misting rain, but it never stopped. There were 5 of us in my 35' TT and I was surprised when I got up in the night and the door to the bathroom (the outside door) had water running down it. I felt above the door and it was wet up to the ceiling. I was so MAD! I thought I had a leak in my new Jayco, but later I found out that there was water everywhere inside. So either I had a massive leak where the roof joins all the walls, or it was condensation. I even paid extra and got the thermal pane windows. They were all wet inside as well. It was about 40-50 degrees F, and we ran the propane furnace. Since it was raining I couldn't open the roof vents. I have one in each bedroom and one power vent in the bathroom. Would the Maxxair vents stop all of the condensation or just make it less. So aside from making everyone stop breathing, what is the best way to prevent the condensation on everything?

Yes, get the Maxxairs. They may not eliminate all the moisture 5 people create, but they sure will help. Good luck.

That's what I'd like to know. With it still raining, how do you get an airflow?

That's what I'd like to know. With it still raining, how do you get an airflow? Max air vent covers and a fantastic vent fan would solve your issues. Since our TT's aren't the best insulated units in the world, the wall temps remain cool. This mixed with warm air inside creates a lot of condensation. My roof vents almost always stay open. I have 3 max air covers. I have very little condensation on anything other than the windows. P.S... I don't have thermo pane glass.

our last TT had a dehumidifier built in to the air conditioning unit-it was a little noisy running it, but it helped. We have the maxxair vent covers and can't imagine what people do without them.

Vent covers, fans, and enough heat to keep it somewhat dry.

With that many folks in a small space ventilation is the answer. Open a window or vent.

You could also search this Forum for `condensation' and read on.

A dehumidifier is THE only answer. Ventilation and airflow help, but that moisture has to be taken out of the rv itself and the air. It is truly incredible how much moisture one body exudes into the air...and five? holy doodle...and the subject of cooking hasn't been touched on.
Get a DE-humidifier...it'll solve the problem of moisture and warmth.
