We are,... winterizing this week. For me that means clearing the cabinets and beds, Bays and cubbies-- washing, wiping, bringing everything inside and deciding what gets to go camping with us next summer. Finding new homes for everything else. I go so far as to make lists of everything I have in there so nothing important is forgotten. We will take her to storage this weekend,...So begins my annual countdown to getting her back out of storage, filling her up with everything and heading out. Its a sad sad day,....

Time flys with all the upcoming holidays and all so Spring will be here soon. It's the toughest part of owning a TT but at least the countdown to Spring has begun.

And here in Southern Calif, we're just gearing up for desert season.... greasing wheel bearings, filling propane tanks, loading firewood. Comfy camping until about Mother's Day.

We'll be thinking of you while we huddle around the fireplace, sipping on our hot toddies wondering when spring will come to our neck of the woods.

It was a sad day several weeks ago when I finished winterizing the motor home and tucked it away until next March.

At least you aren't doing it in the snow. Some people got hit early this year.

It's also the beach season for those of us who like uncrowded beaches. We spent three glorious nights at Jalama Beach (near Lompoc, Solvang, Santa Barbara) last week. It was wonderful. We'll probably be back there a few times this winter.

Same here. Spent last weekend getting the TH cleaned up and ready for CWAC (Camping Without Air Conditioning) season. An approaching "cold front" is supposed to bring overnight lows in the upper 50's. WooooHoooooo!

We had to camp at the beach last week also at Rincon Parkway in Ventura. It was terrible....the sun was getting in my eyes, I had to wear shorts, and the constant noise from the ocean waves...it was just terrible. The only winterizing we do is to turn the refrig. up a little.

I share your issues with the Rincon Parkway. After spending three nights at Jalama, we spent one night at Oceano (Pismo Beach) and a night at Faria Beach (sound end of Rincon Parkway) before heading home yesterday. Faria might be a few dollars more than Rincon, but I was right on the beach with a picnic table and fire ring. We had a 6.5 foot plus high tide yesterday morning and minimal waves, it was like camping beside a swimming pool, except with jumping dolphins and dive-bombing pelicans right outside my door.

Life's a beach.
