Does anyone have a diagram, or link to one, that they can share. I'm looking for a simple diagram of the wiring that includes the shore power, generator, inverter & converter & batteries. When I say simple, I mean a diagram that shows the feeds of each & how they relate to each other. I don't mean a schematic that can be used to do work. I saw a link to a very good one, but it did not include an inverter. I just want to get a sense of how these are wired to each other. Thanks for your help.

Thanks, YC1, for the links.
twomed, the diagram in 12v side of life part 1 was just what I was looking for, except I wanted it to include the inverter, also. I'm just looking for a simple picture I can wrap my head around.

Gotta be a little careful with that 12V side...website. Some of the stuff is old and quite outdated. Last time I visited, it told me that converters don't have enough punch to run the coach and charge batteries simultaneously. That broad statement wasn't true even 10 years ago.

Thanks for the diagrams and links. They are helpful.
You're right, nbounder. I went to the library yesterday, and the books I found were outdated. With the new technology, it doesn't take long to become outdated. I didn't see much that showed both a converter and inverter together. Am I right in thinking that most rigs only recently had inverters installed by the manufacturers?

Inverters were pretty much only on high end coaches until around 2000, then they started becoming kind of standard on DPs. The 12 volt side of life has been updated by Mark Nemeth recently. Very few if any have both a converter and inverter, that would be a waste of effort. Inverters cost more and usually have better battery chargers built in, although some high end converters may offer 3 stage chargers now.

PS...if you fill in some info on your rig in your profile you may get better answers to questions. SOMETIMES...not always.
