Entertainment on weekends? Try the Rockbox Threater. Comedy and Rocknroll! Sit down and hang on! Nice place and family friendly!

Thank you all! Sounds great. Never been before so this is a weird question but how hilly is it? Also any golf courses around?

Not very. And there are several golf courses around, one is right there at the Lady Bird Johnson park. LBJM park golf

Is Fredericksburg also a good place to stay and then drive into San Antonio to see the Alamo and River Walk? I'm hoping to avoid all of the heavy traffic of San Antonio and I35.

what are the prices and any wifi?

We have stayed at Ladybird Johnson RV park. Great place. Watching the planes on the weekends is a great pastime.
$20 a night with cable TV. WiFi is available for an added cost of $30 a month. If my memory is right, monthly rate was $200 with Cable. Hard to get a month at this park.
Have a friend that stays there and said it is now $300.00 a month and wifi was very sketchy. Will check it out when we visit.

425 per day, $200 for 2 weeks, $300 per month. All rates incl electric. WiFi is splotchy and weak.

This our 6th Winter in Texas & have not yet seen a live snake. Yes there are some in the area but they don't want to see you any more than you want to see them. Not a big concern, now I hear there are bears in Canada but I enjoy my visits there too.

Pawatt.......you are funny! lol You look after the "critters" and I'll look after the bears. I've seen two bears away over in the fields this summer.....never seen one up close either. That is reassuring though. Thanks!

Enjoyed a short stay in Fredericksburg Tx last year...It was right after Thanksgiving when they light up for Xmas and they do a great job of it....I recommend a drive over to Lukenbach, Tx., it is an interesting place and only about a 15 minute drive from town.
