A year or so ago I saw a string which included storing bicycles in the front basement of the cameo carriage...there were photos as well. Does anyone remember this, how it was done? We just purchased some new bikes and travelling south for the winter would prefer not to have the bicycles outside exposed to the snow etc on the way down.

The only pics I remember were of mounts for the kingpin and others of rear mounted baskets. You can fit a foldup bike inside but, only if you do not bring extra items that will not fit in the closets, drawers or floor space when the slides are in. You might want to get a big roll of the plastic wrapping material from Home Depot. Put your bikes on a ladder mounted bike holder then wrap the whole mess in the wrap. Looks like a big cocoon.

We put two bikes in our main storage area all the time. I put a heavy blanket between them to cushion and separate them. They will also fit in the front compartment in spite of the generator if I remove one wheel. If we are moving from one spot to another we many times just put the bikes inside the living area. A couple days in your sojourn south should not be uncomfortable with bikes in the living area.

I have carried two full size bikes in my storage area. First I removed everything in the storage area. Then I removed the front wheel from the bikes and then placed the bikes inside. Reloaded everything else and was set to go. I would not think storing them inside after getting to your campsite would be very good. I just store them under the overhang. Use a chain and padlock if you are worried about theft.

You can get bike covers at Camping World to keep them clean if carried externally. Link
