We bought our last two coaches at DeMartini's in Grass Valley, CA. They have an outstanding web site (www.rvdeals.net). They are easy to deal with and you can have a discussion with them via telephone or e-mail about any of the coaches you see on their site. If there is something you are interested in, they are in an outstanding location to make a visit there seem like a vacation.

Motorhome Specialist as well as PPL are good in Texas. If you are interested in a Foretravel, then check out Motorhomes of Texas web site. They have a nice Nimbus in your price range. I have purchased two coaches from Motorhome Specialist and have found them to be great to work with. Before you make any decision make sure you know what it takes to get the unit "Home" since crossing may be a bit dicey. Best to you as you make your search.

Bought ours at PPL Motorhomes and they're good to deal with. No surprises.
What's best for you though, is that they have a very large inventory all in one place.
No pressure or hassle. You stop in the office, register with them, they give you a current inventory list and turn you loose.

That's the good news.

Bad news is that it's a long way to other cities unless you just make it a mini vacation .
There are a lot of other places in and around Houston selling used MHs but I don't have any experience with them.

If you want to give Craig's List a shot, here's a Global Craigslist Search engine that I use to search ALL Craigslist.

I'd support looking at Motor Home Specialists.
Good stock.
Good deals.
Good folks to deal with.

We purchased a consignment unit from them and are more than happy with everything they say and do.

We boughed the current coach a year ago. We paid the same in Can$$$ than this coach would have cost us in the US. Dealer really wanted to sell and dropped the price by can$20.000. We purchased here in Alberta, saved me a lot of money if fuel as well.

A few month ago I saw our exact coach with a little higher mileage advertised in the US in the Dallas area for more than what I paid.

Dealers here are as desperate as they are in the US. They may advertise the price high but I learned that if they want to sell the unit and know you got the money, they will deal.

I second the search on craigslist.org Also if you go to www.searchtempest.com you can search an area of CL by zip code. Searchtempest really makes searching a lot easier, especially if you are looking for a specific item.
