I don't know who Les Adams is but the wiring diagram in the above post is from one of my web pages. Here are the complete installation instructions:

See here for specific instructions with wiring diagrams for the Coleman Mach to Hunter mod:

I believe the Duotherm to Hunter is a bit different so make sure you have the right directions!

Don't know where that diagram came from either - guess someone credited me for your work, but many people have asked to duplicate my original modification/article on their websites to which I have replied yes, but please give credit to myself and Alan Paskey for the original work... Some have made up different wiring diagrams rather than just the text in my article, so I guess somewhere along the way things got transposed and I got the credit for the wiring diagrams...
To the OP - In that you have the Coleman A/C unit and not the Dometic, wire per Alan Paskey's instructions in my original article - click on the link in my signature for that documentation and PM me if you need additional help...

Sorry then...but is the diagram YOURS or something you borrowed for your web page?
I certainly have no problem giving credit where credit is due..that's what I thought I was doing.

Looks like the installation is pretty easy, but i still have 2 questions.
Why you guys are using a simple on/off switch (spst) for the hi fan? the way you are connecting the switch on the hi fan wire does not bypass the low fan when the switch is on; in other words, when you turn the switch on you are sending voltage to fan motor through low and hi at the same time. Using a SPDT (SINGLE POLE DUAL THROW) lets me switch or send the voltage through one cable at a time, hi or low, not both at same time.
For the coleman-mach tstat there is no use for the blue wire, this wire is a ground or negative; to my knowledge all circuits have a negative and or ground for protection. Does changing the tstat to work on DC has anything to do?

To downtheroad,LAadams and firecapt1:
Thanks a bunch for your feedback.
Here is what i did, coleman-mach to hunter 4995b mod; hope it helps!

I was going to take the panel to find a place for the switch, then decided not to, i had plenty space between board and wall mount.

The switch i used got it at radio shack it is a SPDT (single pole double throw) toggle switch #275-325. The center connection (i used blue wire) goes to G (FAN), green is hi fan and black wire is low fan (black wire is use to be connected to gray. The switch has 3 positions, center is off and either sides is on.

To install the switch i had to cut some plastic (1/4") from board casing to fit the switch also had to cut a piece of the wall mount base. Some super glue and tightening of nut kept the switch right in place.

I soldered the blue wire to G right on the board.

The final step was connecting
yellow - y
white - w
red - rc/rh
green high fan to switch
gray low fan to black wire on switch.
The blue wire in the Coleman-mach tstat is a neutral, one thing i noticed this wire piggybacks of a neutral coming from top unit, just cap is not needed.
I only tested the furnace and it worked, i will test the a/c later, i do not have a 30amp outlet at the house (that could be my next project)
Thanks again for the help.
