I have a 2007 Ford F350 and today the code came up TBC (Trailer break control)Fault code on the dash read out. If I reset it it keeps coming up each time I shut the key off and turn the key back on. Does Ford have to reset this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. John Sr.

You will need to have codes read on the TBC system.
May have a brake switch out.

No. I should have said it is without the trailer hooked up. Just the truck by itself.

When mine was doing this I took it to the deal and they found water in my plug and wires. Dried out and seal, has not been a problem.

I assume that's while hooked up to a trailer?

We had the problem with our 5th wheel, and come to find out, the wires for the brakes on the trailer that went through the axles were becoming worn and grounding to the axle causing the trailer faults on the system.

When there is a code for something wrong, that means something needs to be fixed. You don't just take it to a dealer to have it "reset".

I had this happen to my 05 superduty. It was under warranty so it was fixed by the dealer. It ended up being a tbc transducer. It feeds the signal to the tbc as to how hard you are pushing the brake pedal. Just a note, this failure occured right after getting my caliper replaced. I think it got damaged when bleeding the brake system.

Thanks Stoker05. I also found lots of water in the rear plug. Cleaned it out and sealed it but the TBC Fault code is still coming up. All
prongs on the plug have the correct power to them. Do you have to have the dealer reset the code or should I be able to reset it.

Check for water in your plug or wires in the rear.
Yours is doing the exact same thing that mine was doing.

Glad you found it.
You can try to unhook you battery for a few moments and reconnect.
If this doesnt do it I would say your going to need the dealer to do it.
