We took the Reyo for a second trip. First day fine, average 15 mpg. Second day, check engine light comes on. Trip to Freightliner and Mercedes and still comes off and on, despite computer update and adding more urea. Kwikee steps needed new motor. Refrigerator has to be replaced as the inner temp went up to 56 degrees. Had to throw out sensitive medication. Range hood fan makes ugly noise and will need fixing or replacement. Laminate coming off closet door. Insulation falling onto dash board. Door handle still hard to open. Screw coverings falling off door. Spent time at SunCoast RV, Freightliner and Mercedes dealer during a 14 day trip. Threw away food. Not a great way to spend a vacation.
Waiting for ne refrigerator that should have arrived by now. Code for check engine light is a new on, and so we have to wait for Freightliner to confer with Winnebago and Mercedes. May be related to the antipollution system. Buying this was a HUGE mistake.

Check Engine light is what I remember the most from my Winnie View. I must of had 6 of them in 15,000 miles. Traded it in for a 34' Allegro Open Road. Now I get 6.5 MPG instead of 15.

Yep, unproven. First hit the market only 4+ years ago, and besides powering Sprinter vans, it's in a lot of Mercedes passenger cars, too.

When I start seeing 3-4 year old Sprinter vans that don't have rust spots everywhere is when I'll start thinking of a Via/Reyo.
1993 Coachmen Catalina 31'
Chevy P30, 454 TBI, Hedman Hedders w/ x-pipe and Jones Full Boar mufflers. Same mileage as stock exhaust, but we get there faster!
Looking for a better rig...

We got our new refrigerator installed and range hood fan repaired. Waiting for a new closet door, laminate peeling off. Also have paint cracking on the rear. Picture sent to Winn. STILL no part for the antipollution system so we couldn't camp with friends on the 4th and can't go anywhere next week either. Eager to take off and see if everything works. @ivander - what do you mean by your statement about rust?

VIA/REYO are Fiberglass It don't rust. Sprinter vans are steel it do rust.

With the quality of steel and anti-rust coatings these days, Sprinter vans should not have rust spots on them after only 3-4 yrs. And the rust spots aren't even in susceptible areas like the rocker panels, they have spots all over them. I see many old cargo vans that have no rust on the body anywhere, but maybe 50% of the Sprinter vans that I see have rust spots.
I know the Via/Reyo are Fiberglass and won't rust. But if they are cutting corners on the steel bodies of Sprinter vans, I am betting they are cutting corners on the chassis too.

How many posters on this thread actually own and have experience with the unit in question ? Jeeze, ask a question for comments from those with actual experience and get it starts sounding one 5 year old whining about his wagon wheel fell off.
The EGR problem is well known, the refer installation IS a Winne problem and IF this is a new unit under warranty I'm sure they will fix it - not so sure about CW.
Ever hear of "due diligence" ?

The EGR problem WAS NOT well known when I purchased it. The first time we went into limp mode in front of an 18 wheeler, Winn. told us we had a problem with the turbo resonator. They were wrong. After the 3rd. time and I contacted Mercedes in Germany and demanded they take the unit back, Winn. admitted to an EGR problem from water running down the windshield under the hood. We got the first EGR cover. As for a wheel falling off, try driving down a highway at 65 mph and suddenly drop to 25, not once, but numerous times. IT IS DANGEROUS. Try driving 100 to 254 miles out of your way to get service, when all you want to do is get home. "due diligence"? I have owned a travel trailer, 5th wheel and truck camper and never had these problems.
