A small square cut piece of the non-stick liner between each plate, bowl will keep them in place even when stacked high, barring one of those panic stops or major pot holes.

Like many of the above we put a layer of the rubber shelf pad under the stacks of plats and cups.
I also built a set of shelves and dividers in the cabinet to help minimize the effects of bouncing as well as allow us to use some of the vertical space that was wasted without them.

My DW also places small squares BETWEEN the plates and saucers/bowls that help hold them. I 95 is so rough that we also use the spring loaded curtain rods from Wally World for additional assistance. Works fine for the most part. JMHO

As much as 10 MPG isn't very earth friendly, we try to do what little else we can. Reduce, reuse, recycle is what we try to follow. Not insane about it, but every little bit helps.

Gee whizz, I've never heard of anyone washing their paper plates before. How many times can you do that before you have to buy a new paper plate?

I use the foam noodles for swimming pools. They cut to size and fit in the front of the dishes. I also use some in the refrigerator to keep things from sliding around. I have not used my tension rods since I read about the noodles here.
When we set up they go in a plastic bag and are thrown into the back of the truck until we go home. If we are just staying a day or two they go on a bunk.

I use a good nonsliding shelf liner on the bottom of my shelves. When we are on the move I stuff soft cushions into the cupboards - works as a double duty because they go on the sofa when parked. Only problems I have had is when I didn't shut the doors properly and they flew open on corners....my bad.
