Whether on a Mac or PC, the procedure is the same. Perhaps the "pain" you describe is having to use a host site. Since I already have an album on Photobucket.com, let me count the clicks it takes me to add a picture to this post.
From Bookmarks, select the URL for the album.
Click on next to get to the second page.
Click on IMG Code URL
Click in this post
