Hi, I purchased a 2006 Itasca Class C in Janurary 2011. It has 12000 miles on it. I live in Tucson AZ. I have it parked at home with 120 30 Amp service connected to it. The last couple of days have been extremely hot... During the day it has popped the 20 AMP A/C circuit breaker. Then when I get home from work late in the afternoon.. and the temp is beginning to cool down. I can reset the breaker and the A/C will run all ok...all night. Then the next day it will possibly pop when the temp gets up to approximately 110. Any ideas.. thanks for your help.

If I'm reading correctly, the 20A breaker feeds the AC. In normal operation, the AC cycles on and off as temp demands, giving the breaker a chance to rest between cycles. With hotter temps the rest times get shorter to the point that the breaker trips. This would indicate that when the AC is cooling, it's drawing 20+ amps. You could verify that with a clamp on ammeter.

I would double check that the unit is not icing up. If it does, and you are not there watching it...it will work the compressor pretty hard and could cause it to not start-up...popping the breaker when it tries.

Also possible for a breaker to get old and tired. Then it'll trip with a load below its rating. That happened to the 30A "main" in our coach, and it happens to 30A campground pedestal breakers all the time.
Remember, a load wants WATTS. Multiply Amps by Volts and you get Watts. So if Voltage is low, the Watt load works out to more AMPS. You're on a 30A supply, but what kind of cord are you connecting with? If part of the hookup is an ordinary extension cord, voltage drop is going to drive amps up, maybe trip the AC breaker.

It could be that the line volts, from the utility, sags/drops during the day. Which like j-d explains causes the load draw to go up.

Well,

I have run some checks on the A/C and it seems that it is pulling 18 amps when the coach is in the shade and the temp was over 95 degrees.. Research is telling me that a new A/C unit might be the resolution to the problem... Does anyone know what the average amp draw is for a Coleman 15000 Roof mount.. I am thinking it should be about 13 Amps.

A breaker is not to loaded more than 80% continually. That's 16 amps, so that could very well be your problem. I would check the fan motor bearings, perhaps a few drops of oil would fix it.
