My DW and I flew to Seoul, South Korea yesterday to visit with our Air Force daughter who is stationed in Gousan at Kousan AFB. We rode a bus from Seoul to Gousan and along the way stopped at a rest stop. At the rest stop I saw what appeared to be a motor home. It appeared to be about 25' long. It had "Daewoo" on the back. It was the only one I saw on the three hour trip. I just wasn't expecting to see one here.

I was there two weeks ago and saw a class c parked next to the river by a bridge. Immediately caught my eye.

Glipski: Where do you live in Alabama? We live in Spanish Fort.

I'm just outside of Aubolika near the Georgia line. Moved down here in 2006 from the northern part of the state.

Wow. You'd have to be very careful when you got off the highway. Most Korean city streets are not very wide. Was it extra narrow, as compared to US models? Turning in a city area could be exciting.

The one we saw had no slides as best I could tell. We were on a bus traveling from Seoul to Gousan when we saw it at a Rest Area. The bus we were in was about the same size as those in the U.S. The MH appeared to be 8' wide. Our bus had no problem with the city streets in Seoul or Gousan since both bus stations were located downtown. I'm sure there are Korean cities that wouldn't accomodate a bus.

@USABill: My uncle Glenn Faulk served in the Korean War. I don't know any particulars of where he was stationed.
@Glipski: Yes, the rest areas are really nice. All kinds of food and merchandise for sale.

Very little information on internet about Korean RVs. Did find out that Daewoo and Hyundai in year 2000 had Minivan type RVs that were on a car derived platform. Early American RVs were based on car platforms also. I too was at Osan
(K55) Korea 1974. Suspect that our old memories do not reflect what Korea has become.

I left a tent at K-55 (Osan) in early 50s that might still be there for you to use..
