I have plenty of dry wood cut, split and stacked for any eventuality. Freezers will be full of frozen veggies and hopefully 1/2 a moose, cool room full of canned veggies, pickles etc. I'll fill the 275 gal diesel fuel tank for the tractor after the mowing is completed and perhaps be able to make some $$ blowing snow with the Kubota and the 74" blower! Camper will be snug and safe in the Quonset hut just waiting to head north and west next August, Sept, Oct.

I agree with others to prepare and then wait and see what happens. I do not see any normal weather in the near future.

Living in the northeast for over 80 years I probably won't do anything different than any other year. We have learned to live with the extemes of the Adirondacks. I only look at what might come tomorrow.

Jefe ~ That is a really great looking wood shed. Nothing like being prepared for any weather.

I've always felt winter is the best time to use the TC. I'm very active all year but fall, winter and spring is when I derive the most value from my TC. Overnight at the ski area saves $100/night minimum. Camping close to my winter sport trail-head priceless. I'm fascinated by cold temps. I like how it clears out the masses and challenges your rig. Summers are boring times for the experienced TC'er. Too easy.

Prepare for winter? I bought a new pair of long pants last week, and probably will buy a new set of golf clubs. Used to live where wood had to be cut and anti freeze level checked. Never again.

I certainly agree that you have to enjoy wearing your long pants in the winter and early spring time before April bites the dust and play all the golf you possibly can when you live in Florida. It's just way tooooo hot and humid to be outside the rest of the year even with shorts or nothing on as we know so well. The snow, if is there's any, and cold temps only last a few months up north and then it's back to wearing the shorts again, playing golf, and very comfortable camping without having to hide inside with the A/C blasting like when we blew it and overstayed the good season time when in Florida.
