I hear it cures the gout and is effective at shrinking hemmoridal tissues.
My dearly departed Dad sprayed it on his arthritic knees, and swore it relieved the pain better than any medicine the Dr. gave him. Also in the NW it's a standard to spray it on tuna balls for salmon and steelhead, and a lot of sturgeon fishermen swear by it.

I don't think I would use it as a cleaner on my rig except maybe the undercarriage!

I dont spray it on the whole exterior of my rig. Just for a spot cleaner for something that is hard to remove. Such as bugs, black streaks etc.

WD-40 works pretty good as a cleaner on many things but I don’t think it works as good as some others do… I have never had it cause any damage to anything either, including the siding on my trailer…
I wouldn’t use it as a rubber treatment though…

I did always spray it all over my dirt bikes after I cleaned them… I think it made the next cleaning easier…

I also used Pledge for polishing my motorcycle frames because it worked well for a quick shine and didn’t leave any white residue in the welded areas like other polishes did… Lemon Pledge because I like the smell…

Love my mass produced, entry level, built by Lazy American Workers, Hornet
