My dearly departed Dad sprayed it on his arthritic knees, and swore it relieved the pain better than any medicine the Dr. gave him. Also in the NW it's a standard to spray it on tuna balls for salmon and steelhead, and a lot of sturgeon fishermen swear by it.
WD-40 works pretty good as a cleaner on many things but I don’t think it works as good as some others do… I have never had it cause any damage to anything either, including the siding on my trailer…
I wouldn’t use it as a rubber treatment though…
I did always spray it all over my dirt bikes after I cleaned them… I think it made the next cleaning easier…
I also used Pledge for polishing my motorcycle frames because it worked well for a quick shine and didn’t leave any white residue in the welded areas like other polishes did… Lemon Pledge because I like the smell…
