We had to put our 15 year old Brittany Spaniel "Lady" down last week. She went everywhere with us for the past 14 years. She'd been to the west coast, east coast and every where in between camping with us. She will be sadly missed.

So sorry for your loss. We just went through that with our Lhasa, Mattie, back in June. Just be aware that Mattie was waiting for her at the Rainbow Bridge and they are both very happy.

My heart feels for you, MinnCamper. What a beautiful dog. Remember all the good times and keep those memories close.

People that don't have pets won't understand, but anyone who does will. We've been through that several times, and it's like a family member. Just went through it this spring while on the road.

I feel your pain. My 10yr old Dobbie, Zoie died 3 weeks ago of a heart condition. I got into RVing because of her and like your "Lady" she went everywhere with me. She was to me "the best dog ever"...

So sorry for your loss. We went through that with Halo one year ago, and now are facing the same thing with her brother Havoc who is 13 1/2.

That's awful - I know all too well that a dog can become a big part of your soul, especially one with whom you've traveled many thousands of miles and done countless things. Lady was a really beautiful girl. It sounds like she had a good, long life, chock full of love and interesting experiences - and it sounds like she will live forever, young and strong, in your heart - that's all any of us, human or canine, can hope for.

A pup will never replace Lady, but I know there is a young Brittany out there with a whole life ahead of him or her, who would be very, very lucky to have you as his/her new master. Maybe give that some thought?

My beloved Brittanies (Maggie - 13 and Chase 8), who have also traveled and hunted all over the country, send their condolences and they will each get an extra hug today.
